The Boundary of the Body
In this series, I explore the body as a site of crossing — a threshold between the visible and the felt, the inherited and the self-defined.
Fragments of bodies emerge against the quiet surface of porcelain patterns: legs suspended, torsos faceless, forms poised between object and being.
The smoothness recalls both vulnerability and control — the discipline of porcelain and the discipline of the body.
Within these restrained compositions, I question how identity is shaped, divided, and sometimes silenced by cultural and visual boundaries.
Living between China and Switzerland, I experience the body as a space of translation — a membrane through which memory, language, and belonging pass.
The boundary is not a line; it is a field of transformation, where what is foreign and what is familiar coexist in fragile equilibrium.
Each painting becomes a meditation on that threshold — where silence speaks, and form becomes perception.
